Refugee Ministry
Raleigh Chinese Christian Church has partnered with Refugee Hope Partners (RHP) to reach and minister to the refugee community in the Cary/Raleigh area. By engaging with and “adopting” refugee families we aim to build life-long, faith-based relationships.
In addition to building on-going relationships with refugee families, our ministry also hosts one-off service opportunities, such as career bootcamps and medical services, that our church members volunteer at. We will share about upcoming opportunities on this website, church bulletin, and Sunday announcements.
Anyone with a heart to serve would be welcomed and encouraged to participate in the ministry for the Kingdom of Christ. Opportunities to serve include the following areas.
Education & Enrichment
- Helping kids with homework, parents with job searches
- Teaching American cultural norms
- Building up English skills to promote confidence in work/life interactions
Health & Wellness
- Driving families to doctor appointments
- Helping families as they navigate the world of healthcare and deciphering English jargon at their appointments
Faith & Community
- “Adopting” a refugee family
- Cultivating strong relationships with families by getting to know them and ministering with them throughout their day-to-day life experiences
This is such a great opportunity to show Christ’s love to people who need attention and love. The heart of the Lord is in caring for the needy and the sojourners (Exodus 22:21, Deuteronomy 10:18, Jeremiah 22:3, Romans 13:9-10).
